A lot of debris and still a lot of SPEED

Yeah, don't like how fast they appear to be going through there.

Is that an engine block they are dousing on top of the tyre barriers by the marshall post?

Sitting low in a car going up a blind crest...there's really not much chance for them to see anything until they're right in the mess. I wonder if some sort of tall structure with an LED board might be good to put at the top of the hill there. Have a marshall standing by to turn it yellow the moment there's trouble. That way everyone on approach can see it immediately all the way from the approach and have a chance to slow down together safely instead of having to wait until you're close enough to see one of the small lightboards/flaggers by the fence.

That exact spot is going to be rebuilt this winter anyways. The barrier he hit will be moved back at least 10 meters, so hopefully this will be the last of this kind of accident

Gravel time? Or not yet? I remember that they wanted to bring back gravel there for bike racing

There will be gravel too, yes. Combination of asphalt and gravel, same goes for other corners

I don't understand how it's even possible to circulate at even that reduced pace on slicks.
