The full entry list has been revealed. The GT3 field is great although the lower classes are quite lacking.

Gotta wonder at which point does it become a full GT3 grid

There should be live streaming for the Australians through 7Plus, which is accessible online or on mobile I believe.

we where going, as we have the last 5 years

BUT about 350km / 560 mi from home we hit a kangaroo and were stuck on the side of the road for 5 hours with no mobile / cell phone reception

Luckily a nice bloke gave me a lift to a spot with reception and we where able to call for a tow truck / lift back home to Brisbane

Next year lol, the car is still 2 hours away getting assessed so we will need another road trip once it's repaired, my dad worked in smash repairs for 30 years and thinks it's about $8000 worth of damage (car is only 18 months old) but i'm fully insured so it won't cost me a fortune

I'm a little salty seeing pics of pit setup on Instagram etc but shit happens lol

That's incredibly unlucky. Reminds me of my road trip to Indy, saw several deer killed on the road. Hitting one of those, would've been the end of the trip.

Poor kangaroo though :(

There has traditionally been live streaming for Practice/support races on the Thurs/Friday haven't there?

What has changed?

I'm not sure but at least I expected it now... anyway at least Saturday's (local time) support races are shown.

https://www.speedcafe.com/2019/02/01/van-gisbergen-explains-practice-2-clash/

Van Gisbergen already had an incident in the Triple 8 car but it is repairable for both them and the Ferrari they made contact with.

https://www.speedcafe.com/2019/02/01/audi-becomes-first-b12hr-retirement/

The Gordon Shedden/Matt Neal Audi was crashed by their co-driver in the first practice of the weekend, and as a consequence that car had to be withdrawn before they'd even done a lap. That incident and the Pappas one should see the starting field reduced to 38 since one of the Ginettas did not show up.

oh wow, Gordon Shedden & Matt Neal will be pissed off with having come all the way to Aussie to not even get into the car

I wonder if he lost brakes or something? I don't think I've ever seen/heard of a car hitting that wall heavily in at least the last decade. It's also concerning to read that it took nearly 2 minutes for the fire crew to get there...

Speedcafe has also reported that Pappas sustained fractures to his right arm and pelvis as a result of that.

Post subject:  Re: 2019 Bathurst 12 Hour

There are a few more pics emerging and seems the car went over the grass without scrubbing much speed off, hitting the concrete wall at some angle in the bottom of the chase. A spectator was first at the scene with a fire extinguisher.

Who knows, perhaps they were understaffed because it was a Friday...
