What's with the adversion to Safety Cars at Oscherslaben...did they forget to bring it?

And all day Eurosport has been cutting away from the replays just as they get interesting, typical bad directon....

They've been jumping out of the replays to go back to live action, so the director is actually a bit more alert than usual. And there hasn't been the usual lingering shots of the pitlane so far....

On the replay of the turn 1 crash they cut the high angle from inside turn 2 which could've shed some light on some of the secondary impacts to cut to an on-board of the car nudging the tyre barriers...it wasn't cutting to live...

Is that what turn 1 looks like now? Looks ridiculous tbh.

It's been like that since last year. There was a pile-up there last year

I knew it was changed last year, but I don't remember seeing the blue and white chequered line and the tyre barriers in those places last time. Though I might not have noticed it in 2007.

Surely no interruptions to the races is what is desired?

FOr what reasons and where would they concentrate on?

A sportscar assault?

Well both Muller and Farfus tested the M3 GT2 car. Would be hard for Theissen to fly between all those races :p

There have been rumours of that happening for a few months now, and if you believe Steve Neal, they'll be entering the BTCC.

Subaru are evaluating a possible entry into the WTCC:

That would be cool. Either of Jackson or Turky in a manufacturer BMW could really challenge for the title.

I wish more cars were like the Lacetti :(

The owners of the Salzburgring are after a WTCC round. Apparently Lotti was impressed with the track and the racing it produced, saying it was "ideally suited to the S2000 cars" (from Autosport)

salzburgring would be quite cool, least its a track with character not a bland new track.
