seems like the teams agreed to reduce the amount of cars entered by the manufacturers from currently 8 cars down to 6 which would mean only 18 cars for 2017 instead of 24 like DTM had since 2012.

way to go DTM.

the manufacturers don't want to spend more than 30 million € for a season, reducing from 8 to 6 cars means they will save around 8 million €...
