That would be awful.

BMW Motorsport just confirmed it on their Twitter-account. Priaulx & Werner out, Da Costa & Maxime Martin in.

Apparently DTM is Max's big target/dream, so I'm happy for him, I suppose.

Ehh, he was never that great at overtaking anyway. Could be a good fit.

di Resta, da Costa and Martin are wasted in this series. They should all be off doing something far cooler.

Di Resta really should have gone to Indycar.

According to Di Resta, going back to DTM leaves the door open to return to F1. Indycar does not.

I guess they lured Da Costa to DTM with the same bullshit.

I'm expecting JEV to continue to underperform and by midseason, RB is gonna put AFDC in his seat.

Imo, they just didn't ditch the French yet to measure Kvyat

He should chat to Montoya, Glock, Bourdais, Zanardi or the myriad of others for whom heading to the US didn't hurt their F1 chances.
(more most of them being in shitty F1 teams when they got to F1 did...)

Or maybe have a chat to his cousin who can tell him which series would allow him to establish more of a career outside of F1 should that door now be shut to him.
(I can't imagine his F1 performances will make any team open its coffers to take him without some sort of manufacturer deal anyway, so I guess he is intending to win the DTM again and Merc will once again force a team with their engines to take Paul as part of the supply deal...)

Da Costa is now contracted to BMW, with Red Bull as a sponsor.

I hope I'm wrong, but Red Bull don't see Da Costa as an F1 driver. The next potential STR drivers are now Sainz, Lynn & Gasly.

I still think RB is gonna give him a chance. The contract with BMW most probably have a clause implying that RB can take him out anytime they want...

They will only know for sure if he's F1 material if they put him on a F1 seat

Under perform? By what standard? Other than Ricciardo surging when he was in the frame for the Red Bull seat, JEV has been racing at or above the standard of pretty much every STR driver sans Vettel. He's only a point behind Ricciardo in their time at STR.

Ricciardo proved to be a lot faster than him, in qualifying.

I take points with a pinch of salt these days because the races are not "real racing", to my standards.

You're surprised he wouldn't make any sense?

In this case Artur, your standards are shitty.

Post subject:  Re: DTM 2014

As Scotty once said, these days you're punished if you're faster, in qualifying, than your team mate in a lower midfield team, because you end up getting without fresher tires for the race, and races in F1 are majorly decided by tire conditions, in the Pirelli era.

It was Ricciardo that could put the car where it didn't belong quite some times, like in Bahrain's 2012 grid, as a very good example. JEV simply is way slower than Daniel, and I'm no supporter of the Australian.

What makes no sense is anybody who thinks JEV is anything above of a mediocre driver. Sorry

Another thing that makes no sense is people who cherry pick a stat to portrait a false image of something. Going by this, Button is definitely better than Hamilton, as he scored more points during the time both were team mates
