Very ordinary race. Ekström fucks up qualifying, so his excellent race pace goes to waste. Up front nothing happens.

RUN THE OVAL.

Did they just say that DRS is disabled in the last 5 laps?

Ekström is constantly the fastest driver on track, yet can only finish 8th. Frustrating. If only he could qualify well he would run away with these races.

The DTM drivers weren't finding it too hard to overtake, they were just waiting.

Sadly they waited until the run from the final corner to the finish line you saw, that was a very exciting phase of the race, that 12 seconds or so! :p

I really wish there was something else to watch today *sigh*

Awful calender scheduling guys, sort it out.

GP3 in Valencia was painful today and even MotoGP have been quite boring most of the time(Moto3 and 2 are usually great, though, specially Moto3), so yeah, there wasn't much better motorsport this Sunday. At least GrandAm saved the weekend for me, yesterday.

It's such a shame that Nascar's best race(Road America) will take place in same time as Le Mans :(

They need to make some changes to the layout to increase overtaking spots. A return to the long back straight would be a good start, imo.

Yeah we had 3 good to great races last night on almost simultaneously (Indycar, NW and Grand-Am) and it seems we're paying for it today with a drought.

Next week we have BTCC during the finish of Le Mans too, my internet is going to suffer a huge stress next weekend! :p

They also would have to repave the oval. Too much costs plus no signs of IndyCar or other oval series returning, so why bother keeping the oval in shape?

Sorta hoping Euro NASCAR thing that supports DTM sometimes would start actually oval racing soon, but I guess that's just a stupid thought for a series based on NASCAR eh?

it would cost too much to do the required modifications only for a small series like euro nascar, also lausitzring has no money to get a bigger series to race there

Euro Racecar is racing on an oval soon, but it's a 3/8 miler in a parking lot.

Missing airport races. Well, we might just have one again..

According to Bild (yeah, yeah, but to be fair their sport sources are usually really good) they're trying to make a race happen on the former Tempelhof airport.
There were talks about this some months ago already but it didn't seem to work. Let's see where the new discussions will lead to...

Knwoing Berlin and their airports this discussion might go on for a very long time :p

The DTM way to say hello, obviously. (Spengler wasn't very happy with Ekström, but hey, fuck you too).
