DTM is God's little joke to Motorsport fans. Surely it can't be worse than 2011.. Seriously?

So the main event of the weekend is missing (Scirocco cup that is, the only series to produce good races during DTM weekends)

So far 11 drivers are confirmed, with another 2 expected at Mucke.

Oh, but that's the problem we have now. GP3 came in and pretty much fucked everything up. Instead of British F3 or European F3, drivers choose between the aforementioned series, GP3 and even Formula 2. The result is that British F3 has 14 drivers, EuroSeries has 13 (likely) and F2 starts next weekend with 10 confirmed so far. We've been through it several times before on the forum, but we need one of them to die so that another gets a decent attendance. That said, having scrutinised this year's F2 they aren't exactly top material...

GP3 came in late, it can bugger off. F2 will go the way of Formula Palmer Audi.

F2, underpowered, bad racing (except at Monza) die plz

GP3, Underpowered, bad racing, Bernie backed, Die plz (won't)

F3, best of a bad bunch, low numbers, usually decent races (not with 12 cars though lol) Merge plz

All in all we need F3 to buy the old Superleague Formula stock that'll blatantly be sitting around doing nothing from now on, then it'll be exciting again!

Lets see how BMW will react to this, as far as I know they got involved in DTM mostly because of its international perspective. Using the new developed DTM M3 not just in DTM but also Japan and America, well and now that perspective is pretty much fucked.... :lol:
Aufrecht is such a douchebag :flag:

The problem is simple: too much Junior/Feeder Open Wheel series. I think the F3 is more closer of F1 than everyone knows and since always, some great champions are born for every category with F3. but i think that GP3 works because of proximity with Formula One, as a support event. But the cars are terribely boring and the GP3 drivers didn't make so well in GP2, as far i know. Never see great racing in GP3.

But the Auto GP is for me more useless. The Formula 2 is such a joke. and no comment about Superleague.

For me, the perfect way to Formula One (or even other championships) is this:

First, National Formula Renault/Ford/Abarth/Holden/Barber Championships. The first three guys of those championship get testing a F3.

Next, National F3 Championships (Britain, Germany, Italy, Japan...) or Formula Mazda for US Drivers. the first three guys of those championships and winner of Macao GP wins superlicence and gets tests for European F3, and Indy Lights for US.

Third, European F3. The first three guys get tests for GP2, WSBR, Indy Lights or Porsche Supercup.

Next, GP2, Indy Lights or WSBR or even Porsche Supercup. the first three guys wins mandatorys F1, Indycar and WEC testing. The other drivers can test in F1 Rookies Test if a team are interest by him. The rest, they chose their way... That would more simple, isn't it?

F3 --> AutoGP/World Series --> F1

Any other feeder series can die for all I care.
