Managed to take some breaks from studying to watch some parts. Looked like a good race. Nice run from AMR, really hope they decide to do Spa. Fuck the director for skipping that final battle though. Zampieri was driving like an ass vs Palttala.

That's the trouble with these races, there's so little action the Director doesn't know how to handle it when it does appear!

Why are you even watching...?

Wouldn't know, I wish I'd been able to watch it with full attention. But it seems to me that you are expecting a 3 hour raceto be like a 30min or even 1h sprint. You're not going to get that. Saying that there's "no action in these races" is completely not true. They have provided so many great races over the past 3 years.

Well I don't think Silverstone helps either, the majority of the action we got was in the new section though, so I'm glad they used that.

And as I said, I don't think the direction helps either, it doesn't focus on the best battles on track and was happy to follow the leader around for 20 minutes at a time, despite him being 30 seconds ahead of 2nd place.
I don't see the leader in traffic as being that exciting, particularly when there's better action on track.

The British GT races at Snetterton are worth a watch. Some good racing, and a pretty big accident for one of the Ginetta's in race two.

Annoyingly I was photographing the car in front when it happened, so I only caught it coming to a rest, but my wife said it got some air. :p

In other news, Bruno Senna will be joining the VonRyan Mclaren for the Spa 24. The race also has an altered start time (4.30pm) so that the finish doesn't clash with the Hungarian GP.

Fully entrylist will be published 3 July, during the testday. I will open a thread around that time

I haven't seen it, but it was incredibly fierce from what I can read, because they transfered 5 drivers to the medical center. The Blancpain paddock is rather shocked, especially since most of them are trying to come to grips with Simonsen's death

Why is it that these kind of accidents seem to happen so close to each other? (Wheldon/Simoncelli. Surtees/Massa.)

RIP. :(
