Bell Motorsports has withdrawn their GT1 Aston Martin from next weekend's Petit Le Mans... looks like we're back to square one in that regard... :(

That's still in carbon scheme, unfortunately... The final product is similar to their old car.

Aside from that, Peugeot has had another accident in testing for the Petit Le Mans today. Apparently it was traffic-related, and he ended up in the wall at turn 12 (coming down the hill). Lamy, who was at the wheel, is okay, but there's been no report as to how badly the car's been damaged or if it is race-threatening.

I have no real issue with the BK Motorsports scheme, I still love the car itself.

i like the carbon version better.

i do hate how the race is "Petit Le Mans powered by the Totally New MAZDA6". how exactly is a car with the same chassis and engines as the old one "totally new"?

Didn't have a chassis for a 2nd car, and now they just destroyed the first one?

Suppose you could just run it in state it is in. Still won't be the Audi.

As long as there's no major damage to the chassis they'll rebuild it easily. That looks like mostly bodywork and suspension.

This was spotted on ten-tenths.com. On official website of Toyota Motorsports Festival (23rd November, Fuji), there are these mysterious silhuettes...

Does anyone have a photo of the Dome that took part at Le Mans this year? So we can compare with that mystry photo.

I have heard stories that Toyota might team up with them and provide Toyota engines for the Dome sportscar.

Might be the Dome, but then It muss have undergone some major changes (Rear wing doesn't look the same). Maybe they are following the same path as Aston, first testing with an custumor car to enter with an own car later on.

Some time after 24LM there was interview with Dome team manager on endurance-info.com and he said they will continue to use Judd engines next year.

True. End plates doesn't look very similar to modern ones.

Remember that rear wings are going to be 40 cm (!) narrower next year (weird coincidence with F1, altough doesn't look as much as out of proportion...).

Also the silhuette matches neither GT-One or TS010. Why so much secrecy over historic cars anyway.

Quite frankly, I think the silhouettes are designed to simply be silhouettes. If they do represent the shape of a car, I'm sure it won't be anything we've seen yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see a full factory Toyota LMP1 effort by 2010, possibly running in 2009 - especially considering Honda/Acura's new program for next year. We shall see for sure in November, but that's what I'm betting.

I was looking through the FIA GT website for that Argentine round at the San Luis (Potrero de los Funes) track and I discovered that the TC2000 and Formula Renault 1.6 will be the supports for the round.

Formula Renaults around that track?!

Epic.
