New series for Formula Renault 2.0 cars in the USA being started apparently with sanctioning from NASA (as in the regional & club racing / 25 Hours of Thunderhill sanctioning body), series using a SST-style format where the series owns all of the cars. Winner of the championship gets a scholarship package to move up into Road to Indy or onto the Euro ladder.

I had those thoughts as well, especially in a time where there's many standard style junior OW series out there on the road racing side (IL, PM, USF2000, Atlantics, F3 Americas, F4 USA, Formula Pro USA (aka F4 West), F2000, F1600, club levels of SCCA & NASA)

Renault Sport to start a new regional F3 style series using the Formula Renault Eurocup name & schedule. It will use the Tatuus T-318 chassis for the series with the Megane RS engine.

These cars raced pretty well in the dry yesterday, was quietly impressed with them tbh

Today's race went about a well you'd expect with teenagers engulfed in a huge rainstorm...
