When we get enough entrants in all 5 classes this thing could work out very well in my opinion

The cars they will use are well-known for the good racing and the Acceleration organisation already contacted teams, drivers and also the organisation of AutoGP to try to get a bigger grid. They say all of the 18 FA1 cars that are ready by now are on the grid in Portimao and maybe even more.

Also the concept of bike racing in the morning and cars in the afternoon is very succesfull here in Holland during the Gamma Racing Day, formerly know as Rizla Racing Day. It attracts a lot of people that normally don't bother to watch any motorsport at all. 80.000 spectators in 2013 made it the 2nd biggest event @ Assen of the year! One reason for these big attendance figures are free entry tickets. I read that with Acceleration 14 they will have 80's and 90's partys on the friday evening before all races and on saturday they will have a well-known DJ from the country they race in. Everyone that buys a ticket for the saturday Dance event will get free (early) entry to the races on sunday!

Stock600 and Stock1000 are always very competitive races and the Legends and V6 pickups can be very spectacular as well. It all depends on how many entrants we will have at the start of the season...

Just a shame they think that David Hasselhoff will get them a lot of positive attention. Maybe he does get them attention but at least make sure he knows his facts! He was talking on Dutch tv about F3 races in Amsterdam :( pfffff

So this is actually happening then? Sounds like the same sort of thing as Superleague, in that they're trying to combine two things that really don't need combining. People who like partying/clubbing aren't suddenly going to like racing, and people who like racing probably aren't going to go to an event full of people who were only there for the party but got a free ticket for the racing so hey why not. It's kind of half-heartedly catering to two different demographics.

If it works then good for them, but I'm not confident.

I always wonder when or where (or if) we will see the "Powered by Ferrari" cars again.

Am I making this up or did Lotus buy them to turn them into the T125 (the F1-style trackday car)? I seem to remember there being some connection

Either way, I'm pretty sure they got turned into something else

Those trackday cars were scratch built.

I'm sure the Ferrari cars were sold off with the rest of the assets.

Hope this series do happen,as Rijeka is an hour from my home. But the track hasn't been seriously updated since 90s,only trackdays and some lower motorcycle and car races happening. In the 90s there were motgp races, and before,i think 1986 even Keke Rosberg did a trial in a Mclaren, interesting and nice track with cool scenery.

The organisers anticipate a 20 car grid for the main billing.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

They announced 3 dj's on their youtube channel. Jacob van Hage (resident-dj), Bingo Players & Showtek... Not bad if you like their music-style.

yeah, those were some of the most impressive cars I've seen live at a track. That V12 was awesome.

The teams:

Belgium: Azerti
Sweden: Performance
Germany: GU
China: Team China
Spain: Moma
Italy: Ghinzani
Venezuela: RC
Japan: Euronova (run by Taki Inoue!)
The Netherlands: Team Holland

2 car teams, don't know if the other car will represent another country. I'm actualy getting a bit excited again about this series. It's basicly a reboot of A1GP with the original cars and same race format.

For me the biggest problem was that the 'national' teams didn't always had a 'national' driver... Holland did.

Team Belgium should have 2 Belgian drivers. The same for Italy etc etc. If not then I am not interested.

That's because his biggest hit has been played and then overplayed and then played a little more. It's the same as The Proclaimers, most people only believe they had one hit - 500 Miles. But they had many more. And some pretty good ones at that.

A1 usually had correct drivers in each car. Only Graham Rahal in the Lebanon car was odd. And I believe we had an Italian driver in another team car once because the regular driver was ill. But for FA1 it isn't a rule I think to have a driver of the car's nationality in the car.

Aren't you confused with Superleauge Formula? They had drivers representing a football team from an other country.
