Apparently tomorrow Rosenqvist will test at Navarra for this series.

So they're gone from having an OK brand (The whole "world cup of motorsport" thing might have sounded stupid but I've had more "casual" fans ask me (as I'm their "motorsport geek" I guess) "what's this A1GP thing all about, how do I go about watching it?" than I ever have about DTM or Indycar or anything that's less mainstream than F1 itself )

To having a shit brand that's basically trying to be as much F1 as they can get away with without Infringing copyright?
*sigh*

The sad thing is, if they ever get these cars on to a track (Which I'm sure we all doubt, but still...) they're bloody good fun to watch.
It's just everything else about the series is a SOS worthy.

To take the ToCA model, turn it up to 12, and apply it internationally.

More power to them.

The faith of Anderstorp depends on the day. A few weeks ago they said they were closing down for good, a couple of weeks later they were planning big upgrades. Hoping for the latter.

The thing I liked about this category or what ever it used to be was that it was over the off season of every other racing category. Races over December and January were great when there was nothing else on. Now it would be just over a normal season. Its all in Europe too....boring.

Yeaa, that's what made A1GP so great. Why the fuck did it have to be sold onto a criminal with no fucking clue how to run the series :(

It'll be very interesting to see the race in Rijeka, which is a track that hasn't seen a major event since the early 90s.

Just saw that the calendar has changed a bit. Silverstone & Anderstorp are removed. Assen, Zolder & Monza are added. Still curious how this will be, they already had some testing days.

Kalender 2014:

• Portimao - 6 April 2014
• Navarra - 4 Mei 2014
• Nürburgring - 25 Mei 2014
• Monza - 8 Juni 2014
• Slovakiaring - 6 Juli 2014
• Zolder - 20 Juli 2014
• Paul Ricard - 24 Augustus 2014
• Hungaroring - 31 Augustus 2014
• Grobnik - 21 September 2014
• Assen - 19 Oktober 2014

Proper old school A1GP at Monza would've been uber best tast, what a fantasy that would be.

Almost as much of a dream as this championship taking off, but I guess even a 10% chance is better than nothing :p

What a bummer :tumble:

I reckon they will struggle with low car counts (like autogp), if this ever happens...
