I worked in British F3 in 2003 so I have a soft spot for that season. Drivers like Piquet Jr, Jamie Green, Adam Carroll, Will Power, Scott Speed, Ernie Viso, Chandhok, Rob Austin etc. Even Lewis Hamilton made his F3 debut at the end of that season. But costs were always high. (even back then a full season would be ~£400k) It's not surprising that drivers/sponsors/teams would think something like Renault World Series was better value.

Especially when you consider the TV coverage.

Didn't he flip it?
Or hurt himself in some way? I remember it being at Brands and an accident putting his Macau appearance in doubt for a while.
But he went. And crashed there too :p

Still, whatever you think of the strength of the championship, I always thought its TV coverage was well edited and made for a great show. Sort of like BTCC in the 90s

Used to always enjoy watching the season reviews in the off season over Christmas and catching up with any races I've missed, will miss that more than anything.

Goodbye British F3. Lets hope one of the F4's can put together a quality grid and good enough racing to live up to your legacy ;)

Yeah he crashed with Manor team mate Tor Graves at Clearways and got knocked out. I don't think he flipped. The TV cameras didn't really catch it.
