Fabio Leimer, the 2014's David Valsecchi, or maybe not even that!

If Abt will get a penalty that'll put him down in the standings, there'll be a microscopic chance for Bird tomorrow.

kals might as well get some shopping done because F1 qualifying and the race will be unbearable. A total Rossi slobberfest, IMO.

Amazingly that's the first win by an American driver in GP2 history.

He never won a race in GP2 as far as I remember.

:tumble:

I mean, how dare I suggest something negative towards the commentary styles of the commentary team from NBC nee Speed... whereby they pick up a point to discuss and then continuously flog it to death and beyond at every race. How many races in a row is it now that they have obsessed about "clag" ruining overtaking even though it doesn't make a blind bit of difference? ;)

If I'm wrong about them talking about Rossi, then I'm fine with that. I can live with myself.

But anyway, congrats to Alex.

- What about F3000 (and even FR3.5)? I'm not sure if I remember an American driver winning in F3000.

I'll let you investigate that one.

Dillmann won't race tomorrow which pretty much hands Carlin the teams' title.

Eddie Cheever won in F2, so that's F2 covered at least.

Thanks Jacob. I'm pretty sure no US driver won in F3000 but I'll check, not so sure about FR3.5 or Formula Nissan.

Rossi won in 3.5, as well.

Thanks PT.

I've looked over the F3000 International series history and no American driver won. In fact no American driver took part until Elton Julian in 1994. So yes, Rossi is the first American driver to win at this F1 supporting level, plus he's the only American driver to win in FR3.5 (includes Open Fortuna by Nissan).

Just him and Cheever then.

Martin Whitmarsh has dropped a big hint that Stoffel Vandoorne will do GP2 next year.
