Never liked Will that much, dislike Dario more.

Look, I'm a Will Power fan. Even I can't believe what he just said.

Briscoe fell asleep, plain and simple.

he just stepped out the car. his race engineer told him RHR jumped the restart. at this point usually you are inclined to believe what your engineer is telling you! he will probably see race directions decision after seeing the restart himself.

LOL at thread title.

Indycar never ceases to amaze me, they have a funny habbit of pulling a white rabbit from the hat and producing great racing, they really need to capitalise on this as these races are consistently far better than either F1 or NASCAR.

That's true. Problem is that he was shown the replay and assured his engineer's view.

RHR was way behind Briscoe at the chicane which caught out Briscoe. Briscoe should've been going faster though.

If you haven't seen it, you don't comment on it. He then went on to say the pass was done before the cones, which the replay proved was bullshit. He also said Rubens ran him into the wall, which was also bullshit.

Sorry, but Power is an arse. He spends the entire time being a prick, flipping off officials, calling fans names on twitter, and when he bottles it (which he's done numerous times), he has a moan. The ONLY reason people here liked him is because they were bored of Dario and his terrible interviews (and Ashleys interviews were the worst, which didn't help). If Power was battling with somebody people liked, then he'd be the bad guy. The sudden wave of dislike for Power is because now it's more obvious now that he's not fighting Dario.

I don't know if I love or hate Indycar after watching this race. I'm confused, and definitely looking forward to the finale (probably missing it live unfortunately though)

Without the yellows (and better TV coverage), it'd be awesome. But the action is split up between yellows for everything.

I would say that it was entertaining for all the right AND wrong reasons.

Was Hunter-Reay in the wrong line for the last restart?

No. The leader chooses inside or outside. Briscoe happily sat on the drivers left, so RHR had to go drivers right.

Only reason I ask was the possibility the flagger mistook RHR for the leader instead of Briscoe. But even still it's bizarre that Briscoe would take the left with the first turn being a hard-braking righthander.

They're better than this at most tracks. Problem here is that there's barely enough room for the field between the chicane and S/F line.

Then they should do the restarts like they do the initial start, with cars splitting the chicane.

Well it was better than the last one :)

I think a lot of the yellows are borne out from how hard it is to pass at this track.
It just creates frustration when the car behind knows they're faster and can't do anything about it, and frustration leads to accidents.

Restarts have always been an issue as long as I can remember. The rule is, as soon as you see the green flag, you go.
If the leader is dozing around, it doesn't matter even if you pass him before the line, the green flag is all that matters.

But they've never clamped down on any contentious re-starts before and I doubt they'll start now.
