Now they've split the packs up, they can work on increasing horsepower and downforce at a comparable rate so it keeps this kind of racing, but doesn't introduce pack racing again.

UUUUUGGGGGGGHGHGHHHHHG Why is it that when one of my favorite drivers is a lap away from a win they hit the wall and make me angry, especially when the guy that beats them is a great dude and someone I would have no trouble rooting for? But whenever one of the underdogs is in the hunt for a win and Franchitti is there, black magic hands him the win!

I'm so torn. Justin is the classiest dude in the paddock, and I don't mind him winning at all. But that was the only time this season that Graham is gonna be allowed to go for the win, and that shit fucking hurts.

I think what he means is that instead of all this side-by-side, foot to the floor stalled out at 220mph crap which has been a staple at pretty much every oval over a mile long not called Indy for years, there was actually some proper racing going on. The drivers had control over their cars and had to make choices about where to put the car.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

A fast oval that wasn't affected by aero so much like Indy and didn't have pack racing; A fast oval race that the driver who drove better and or had the better setup to RACE around the other cars FIGHTING for positions WHILE NOT GOING WITH THE TROTLLE PUSHING OVER ALL THE WAY. Were we could actually see drivers being drivers. Not only Indy wannabe stockars Daytona and Talladega like.

Yes. Yes, yes, yes.

Also, get back to Chicagoland, get back to Kentucky, get back to Homestead. Even, dare I say it, get back to Atlanta. This package can work.

It's too late to explain in detail, but they can't increase horsepower alone, otherwise the cars won't make it round the corners, they'll just spin when they try to turn them.

Horsepower/downforce work in tandem, you couldn't give them 200 more bhp without adjusting the aero package to compensate, you just keep it at a level like it is now, where they're on the edge rather than having bucket loads of downforce.

No....wait, c'mon we won't deny that pack racing is fun, of course it is....Texas races with pack racing are brilliant, was watching last night the 2003 Texas race on youtube and man.....I miss those good old days BUT...it's possible to have fun watching races with no pack racing...it's rare, but it's possible. Won't affirm to you all that this will happen very often, but that's it.

For stock cars, yes...and even that's a stretch. But definitely not open-wheeled cars.

So.... have people been spamming Ed and Indycar saying how great the race was on Twitter?

oh btw.

Justin's 17th grid spot is the worst starting position for a Texas winner. Previous was John Paul Jr. in 1998, who started 14th.
