IndyCar shouldn't be compared with NASCAR's decreasing rates. It should be compared with everything and anything in sports, really.

A very welcome sign telling that the reborn series is finally starting to heal.

So how were the figures posted previously come up with? viewtopic.php?f=32&t=7530&p=573336&hilit=ratings#p573336

I think we can safely say that IndyCar is on the rise, by judging the increase of attendance, more than TV ratings that aren't representative of the actual population who tuned in to watch.

I don't see any source for Wil's ratings, but it might be preliminary statistics, the later might be the final that's been corrected.

It'll hopefully get better as the races continue to be good while the NASCAR races continue to be snoozefests.

I believe that could be the trend now. All the IndyCar races have been great this year. Had the F1 season not been so great at the same time, everyone would be talking about IndyCars now. For me it's almost starting to look like that the open wheel racing is getting its second chance.

Which is great, until El Capitano decides he want's to make another IndyCar Coup...

Penske isn't the issue.

Overnight numbers for live events are always hit and miss...
