Glad they avoided crashing there, otherwise we would all bash those moves. Now they were superb maneuvers.

Does Filippi have most GP2 starts in history or Pantano?

Filippi has but remember that Pantano had lots of races in old F3000 as well. I think Pantano still edges Filippi in the 2nd-tier total starts, despite F3000 having only one start per weekend.

Pantano 112 (78 GP2 + 34 F3000)
Filippi 108
Valsecchi 94

And guess who has the most presences in F3000? Another italian: Fabrizio Gollin, 58 races.

I checked the stats on Forix.

Marco Apicella has the most F3000 starts, 53 (+1 DNQ). Gollin only started 48 races, dnq the rest.

Now let Razia win the first race in Singapur with Valsecchi DNF and let them race for the title in race 2!

Razia win+FL, Valsecchi 9th (with neither on pole) would be ideal. Equal on points and in successive grid positions for race two.

I'm curious, given that GP2 and F3000 were both pretty much pay series, how did these drivers manage to fund such long careers?

Nice to see GP2 racing on the non-European F1 tracks, considering there's so many of them now.

They should race in the USA and another Asian track just so the drivers get the experience on these tracks.
