Oriol Servia was on an Indy radio show yesterday & said that Newman/Haas had a major sponsorship deal fall through about 10 days back & that when that happened he figured the team wouldn't be in Indycar next year.

Maybe I'm looking too much into this, but Rahal-Letterman-Lanigan just put up a new album from when Kurt Busch tested a Champ Car in 03. Maybe a hint at an announcement?

They are supposed to make their announcement this month, but...
It should be somebody with experience, for sure.

Glad to have some good news in regards to teams, after Dollar General left they really weren't too confident for 2012.

According to Holly Wheldon on Twitter, they're not going back to Vegas. Hope that's true but I haven't found it mentioned anywhere else.

Edit:

It's true

Texas is under discussion too.

Lanigan wasn't even apart of Newman Haas last season. He left and joined Rahal Letterman.

And no, they are closing shop.

On another note,

Jimmie Johnson signed something where he would be getting 6% of the winnings. I guess Vasser wasn't the only drunk one.
