Rubens Barrichello is making his debut in Brazilian Stock Cars. He'll race on the 1-million dollar race at Interlagos, the season finale at December 9th. Maybe one of the most anticipated news ever, Barrichello driving on Stock Car Brazil! That's gonna be interesting. I'll be there for sure!

Wouldn't say it's anticipated news, lol.

He's racing at Curitba too. And plays Game Stock Car 2012 online.

Probably one of the most over the top reactions ever...

Good luck to him and kudos for demanding a substantial amount of money goes to charity for his participation.

In portuguese Antecipated has another meaning, he probably wanted to say most predicted news who already was already expecting and talking it could probably happen.

To be honest I tend to agree, english is obviously J.Morelli's second language so for people to mock him because he sometimes doesn't use the right words is pretty disgusting, people just need to be more understanding.

I have to second that.

He also called Alain Prosts onboard the most valuable onboard of the year, and he goes off on random rants (see the Awards threat right now) that make no sense. There's a LOT more going on than a miss use of a word.

Who cares if he called it the most valuable 8O and I don't blaim him for his random rants at the moment, he's been picked on quite a lot over the past few months which ain't cool

Oh come on. Picked on? Disgusting? Have you read the comments which were actually posted in this thread?

We poke fun at each other all the time. Remember the CCTV comment which resulted in an avatar and title change? Or how we make fun of Lucasjeha when he's talking about rain? J.Morelli made a few silly comments, and got a bit of a ribbing from it. If you think people are actively going out and picking on him then you might be reading far too much into it. If you have a problem with it, we have a report function - which despite what some think, is actually used, and discussed. So if it's bullying and picking on people, maybe the function should be utilised. Personally, I think everyone is over reacting given some stuff which is posted here.

I'm seeing the same thing as Juihi, despite Ellis's two cents. This only relates to you through your duties as a moderator Ellis, not sure why you're getting defensive?

I think this place has become slightly more hostile in the last year or two, IMO.

We all love a good banter and a joke, etc, but there's also more of an air of each and every post being taken apart piece by piece and a lot more "attacking the poster, not the post" going on in recent times.

However it's still the first place I come to for Motorsport and it's not like I'd want it more strictly moderated anyway, just saying what I'm seeing really.

Or it could just be that everyone hates me *sob*

I agree, though it doesn't effect my enjoyment of this forum much or make me want to visit it less. I just hold a lot more respect for the members who give a positive contribution or honest opinion about the actual topic (even if I disagree with it), and a lot less respect for those who consistently bring the whinge and "I'm right, you're wrong" attitude. Just my opinion, looking forward to being told I'm wrong :)

If the sponsor doesn't pay, I wonder if they'll have to bill Medley.

Do you think it's lost that loving feeling?

Actually relates to me since I was the first to make a comment on the choice of words, and have made a few comments in jest since. I was defensive because calling it "picking on" is silly, and calling is "disgusting" is just plain stupid tbh.

With a silly discussion like this, it's probably a good time to put the ol' padlock on this thread.

That, and we already have a 2013 season thread anyway.

I think some have become hyper-sensitive for no good reason. At the end of the day we're just poking fun at each other. There's no hostility, we all say silly things at times and when we do some will jump on that chance to have a little fun at your expense. What is disgusting is people aggressively attacking or victimising someone for no good reason. This is not one of those cases.

When you continuously make silly comments, go on fanboy rants, stereotype a certain faith, plus other stuff, people will notice and make fun. Perhaps if all the facts were known, then maybe this conversation wouldn't be happening.
