so wait they're running another rear wing just for texas? i thought the batmobile wing was for all the bigger ovals?

It would be smart of Lotus, if they want a future in this series, to pull out now and spend the rest of the year developing their engine.

The fact that the Lotus engines are 7 MILES AN HOUR SLOWER THAN EVERYONE ELSE AT LONG BEACH would be a very good indication that they're not ready for this.

Which is stupid... If they used the same wing as Indy, Pack racing would be GONE, which is nothing but a good thing at Texas.

Maybe a fact you guys have not yet thaught about:
The boost level at Indy will be lower. Maybe that will (or would) reduce the gap...?

Too bad they have to leave their livery too? Because that was the best livery I have seen in years.

Don't see why they'd have to change, Lotus don't own the livery and it's not a Lotus trademark. If anything it's John Player Specials.

If Lotus protest against them keeping that scheme, Dragon should just troll their asses and run a red, gold and white car.

Details: IndyCar team Dragon Racing sues Lotus

Then, despite already being indebted to Dragon, Lotus refused to deliver engines unless Dragon paid Lotus ''substantial sums of money.''

''Lotus even admitted it was indebted to Dragon. Lotus's demands for payment were outrageous in this context,'' the suit says. ''Ultimately, Dragon was forced to relent to Lotus' outrageous and improper demands.''

The suit claims Dragon paid Lotus $200,000 in March toward the engine lease, and paid $300,000 to a third party vendor at Lotus' request. Lotus continued to insist on further payments, but Penske refused.

Dragon also accused Lotus of defamation with ''knowingly false statements to the effect that Dragon was not honoring financial and contractual commitments to Lotus.''

wow this situation is getting pretty deep. IF (and huge if there) lotus finishes this season i really doubt they will be back next season. of course i may be eating my words later on but i doubt it

We might have over 35 cars for Indy already if it wasn't for Lotus.

Ford, Toyota, Infiniti, Oldsmobile, Buick...any one? Come save us from the Lotus for 2013, please!
