FTG.

Sounds pretty much that Bernard is listening to the critics though.

I dunno, to me it still sounds so detuned and horrible.

Which leads me to assume there'll still be more downforce than power.
Which leads me to assume we'll still see pack racing on ovals...

Which leads me to not look forward to the new car as much :(

Please someone, correct me if I'm wrong, I beg you.... :o

Early days in testing yet. They may just be making sure it all works then going fullpower.

at some points it sounded like they were on the rev limiter/popoff valve going into the turns.

Right now they aren't testing cars and engines at 100%. They are checking if everything works fine and where they will need to make changes.

Any news on who is going to replace Wheldon at AA? I know that Yacaman and James Davison are testing for them next week, are they good chances to take the seat that Danica left behind?

Money only, I hope. They're both not worthy of that seat.

Rumor has it that Andretti wanted Dixon if he couldn't get Wheldon before the Vegas weekend rolled in.

I've heard Justin Wilson being linked to the seat.

I have an onboard from Justin Wilson at Vegas in 2007. I will upload it onto YouTube.

Here it is (thanks to Mattzel for this)

What a boring track 8O

Only 90° corners, no elevation. I am used to USA street "tracks" but come on, surely it is possible to do better !

Did we watch the same clip? :?

I mean, there's two points where they go down through tunnel that goes underneath the road, that's some elevation at least. But yeah, otherwise it's just 90 degrees left, 90 degrees right kind of stuff.

Wow, I'd love to hear that from an official source.

I mean, asked me a month ago and I'd have preferred Justin to get the seat tbh, though you can't really say that kinda thing now Vegas has happened.

Yes I saw that, but except this, as you also remarked, only 90° turns. Imo not enough to call it "great" ! I have seen better US street tracks than this !

That's true. Even the Phoenix F1 track had more character.
