IndyCar also should seriously consider adding an enclosed cockpit, something unlimited hydroplane racing did more than 20 years ago, dramatically reducing fatalities in that sport.

Stopped reading there. Terry Blount blows.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Seen some speculation around that she's signed with Andretti AutoSport to drive the #7.

That seems to come from the fact that GoDaddy signed a 2 year extension with AA to fund the #7 & Kat's new deal is apparently a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd (Same deal AA signed with Danica in 2009).

Shame they couldn't get Simona in the 7. Looked like there were shades of potential from her.

rumor has it that Chicagoland and Homestead returns are possible, but the guy at trackforum.com who posted it said he "heard from a little bird" so I don't know how legit it is.

at first i was kinda sad she didnt get the seat cuz i wanted her to be with a team with more funding but now that HVM has factory backing from lotus im quite happy with where shes at. also chicagoland and homestead would be nice too. bernard swears there will be 16 races next year so they're gonna have to come up with 2 more and quick. as long as they are ovals i'll be content

Return of Homestead and Chicagoland seems ok for me.

I want also they keeping Milwaukee, return to Michigan, Laguna, Road America...

And the Glen maybe return in 2013: http://www.the-leader.com/features/x931415742/IndyCar-WGI-talking-about-2013

We clearly need ovals, but also more REAL road courses...i'm a bit sick of Street Courses which is non-Long Beach/Monaco/Surfers sytle.

A friggin men!!!!!!

There are tons of tracks to choose from, and yes politics affect many tracks, however, North America has such a huge pool.

Oval wise, I expect to see Pocono, Phoenix, Michigan, and Richmond back one day, perhaps Rockingham (UK), and Eurospeedway if Randy Bernard realises that Europe exists, and are craving something other than the follow the Red Bull parade we have to put up with.

Road course wise, IndyCar and the Glen go like Hotdogs and mustard, so it HAS to come back. A joint ticket offer with Milwaukee and Road America would be a dream ticket (their not exactly stepping on each others' turf, and working together may be a good idea), Road Atlanta would be cool, and it sucks that Daytona Road drives so well in sims but is impossible in real life :(. But aside from that, Shanghai in China if they want to further explore there, the Autodromo de Carlos Pace in Mexico would be rocking, Brands Hatch? alternating between Hockenheim and Nurburgring opposite to F1? Paul Riccard?

Just No COTA please!!!

I disagree. I hate mustard, I'd never put it on a hotdog.

You mean Hermanos Rodriguez, right?. Autodromo Carlos Pace is the Interlagos track at Sao Paulo.

It all depends on whether the market can support it (as well as track condition, for instance track condition is why Pocono was dropped, the track became too bumpy for Indycars). It's kind of weird how Iowa and Texas became the only non-Indy oval race to get decent attendance records. Given the current market I can see the Glen or Road America before any new ovals, but who knows.

Road courses like Brands Hatch (which USAC ran in 78 and CART in 03) are another interesting possibility. Did the Euro ovals do well when CART ran it before?
