Shame that they won't be returning after this, the drivers seem to like the roadcourse.

Interesting to see Indy in Motegi and compare the times with Formula Nippon times, the Nippon record there is 1:33, its nice to see that a Nippon car can be faster than an Indy car

I should hope they are faster, given the Nippon car is an almost brand new chassis and engine. IndyCar are running a chassis that was first used 10 years ago, and an engine that isn't much newer. If Nippon weren't faster than Swift would have needed a huge kick up the arse.

This championship is going right to the wire. Power really needed that pole for the bonus points.

Not really, Indycar has a lot of money involved, the teams have a great structure, and the series is the top open wheel series in the USA, Indy has a great history, and they should have faster cars, Formula Nippon engine is limited, its not as strong as an Indy engine, and the tests to develop the car are just a few, two sessions at Suzuka and two at Fuji every march, then only the races of the season, only 7, this shows how much potential Formula Nippon has, it only needs more visibility and investment
