Of course it was a race on this track back in 1995 when Andre Ribeiro scored Honda's first IndyCar win and Firestone's second since their comeback at the start of that year. It kicked off a dominant period for Honda/Firestone combination which is still very much alive some 16 years later.

Who can forget the duell between Nigel Mansell and Paul Tracy in 1993 though?

We were going to go up on Sunday, but after looking at the forecast, I'd rather sit on my couch and watch it rain than sit in the grandstands and get wet.

EDIT: So, they changed the forecast from yesterday to today. Not looking nearly as bad as it was.

Severe rear-end damage for Mann, plus she's off to hospital. I suspect we won't see her anymore this weekend (RLR have a back-up though, but Bobby said he won't call anyone else if Pippa can't make it).

Apparenty the rubber from ACT cars makes track very slippery for IndyCar.

Franchitti on pole, Servia front row, Kanaan & Hinchcliffe on row two. It would be epic if Newman/Haas cars mixed it up for the win, but somehow I see Ganassi will still have the upper hand. Rahal has a big moment in Turn 3 and ended up 23rd.

Pippa Mann has some kind of foot/ankle injury and missed qualifying and will almost certainly miss the race as well.
