Vergne had problems on the warm up lap and had to start from the pits. Strangely they're using the old start/finish, thought they'd use the new.

Possibly because they're working on the new permanent grandstands opposite the new pits?

Ah could be.

Now that was a silly move there though.

Wanna kill the TV director and all the cameramen for doing such a poor job during the coverage so far.

The only positive point for them, they are better than the Macau TV crew (it's not hard to bet them though since they follow the leaders all race long). The Formula Renault 2.0 race was simply brilliant but ruined by the coverage. Playing useless replays at the wrong time, lots of crashes, rain, cars all over the place, passes...

Yeah, was annoying in the main race that they took ages to cut to Vergne doing some overtaking and cut away from a pass of Panchiatichi (I'm sure that's not how you spell his name :p ) in the new section.
Not to mention whatever the crash was that ended in a bit of minor air bouncing over the kerbs of the old section that the cameras completely missed.

Just watching the Meganes on the grid now with a Marshal holding up a sign saying "Wet Practice" (?) so if we get a crazy rain race watch for the directing to fall apart even more.

Looks dry though.

Director needs to be shot. Do they sleep instead of doing their job?

There are only two drivers in this race, apparently.

And they're teammates. So they're not going to race that hard...move on director!

Wish it'd rained :(

Was a rather good day of racing. Wickens nearly lost it on Lap 1, good move by Ricciardo on Rossi though. Meganes were fun but too far apart. Caught a spin in the Eurocup race and also caught sunburn :p Saw Romain Grosjean as well who was talking on stage after some girls were dancing :p

With the weather - it was so windy all day, making it very cold. It started brightly and started spitting before the FR3.5 race but stopped. It then got heavier before the Megane race but then stopped and dried, hence the confusion

How were the national series?

TBH I say it every year but I enjoyed the WSBR events at Donington but after one go at Silverstone I couldn't be bothered any more.
The Main event isn't consistently great (but it's better now they're using the new sections) and the lower level stuff is just too underpowered for the long Grand Prix track and gets spread out.

Didn't stay, too fucking cold!! :p (and only 12 cars apparently, although I missed the chance to see Alice...)

It is still very good value for money, although I've never been before.

Will upload videos if they're any good.

The new FR3.5 car for 2012 !!

Love the look of the new one. :) Looks like a F1 from the 90's.

Looks more like a World Series By Renault car mixed with a Superleague Formula. I don't see any major changes bodywise. Let's hope it creates better racing. At least it will be faster than the old car.
