We need to have Conway in the race.

Someone offer to pay for Viso damage for the rest of the year for Conway taking his seat at Indy, I'm sure the team will jump at it

That was a bump day from back in the good ole days. Everything was right. High drama, crazy weather, who's in, who's out, racing against the clock and the rain... I love Indy.

The two drivers that Indycar absolutely had to have in the race, got in. Let's face facts here, Indy needs to have Danica and Marco since they're recognizable names. Don't get me wrong, as a fan I'd rather have RHR and Conway in there, but to the vast majority of people who are going to watch the 500 it is FAR more important that Andretti and Danica qualified. Outside of fans who watch every race, no one knows who Ryan and Mike are.

I feel bad for Mike and Ryan, but it's Bump Day at Indy. Someone's going to get their heart broke.

It was pretty tense there in person as well. I was sitting on the inside grandstand for the final hour, with the qualifying line right infront of me. you could see how desperate RHR was when Andretti went out, pacing up and back.

good on the IRL as well for getting Jakes off the track once it was clear that he wouldn't make the race. It would have been easy to leave him out for his last two laps, which would have meant Andretti would have missed out as the gun would have gone off

So, RHR would technically drive the #41 or the #41 would withdraw and RHR would enter with his own team as the fastest non-qualifier?

I mean, he's one of only two non-qualified (Matos) that actually has a qualifying speed. Conway, Saavedra and Jakes withdrew their speeds and didn't completed their final attempts.

I just did some poking around, and they're saying they're unsure if the #41 would just withdraw, allowing RHR's time to make the field, or if RHR would just drive the #41, I'd have to assume it'd be the first one.

What a piece of shit. He put every single one of his drivers at risk for being bumped out in the first place due to his fucking shitty management. And Bruno pays the price. :x

Why not take Bruno's car, which is faster?

Curt Cavin:Foyt confirms Bruno out, Hunter-Reay in the No. 41 car. #indy500
5 minutes ago

Well, it seemed logical that something like this will happen. It's a shame, but shit happens. I wonder how much it cost AA to get this seat. Judging by the news of RHR's sponsors meeting with him earlier in the day, I guess they have something to do with it. Maybe they were not happy he was not in for Indy, and may have jeprodised his ride for the rest of the year. Who knows.

If I was Conway I'd be rather miffed that they got RHR a seat and not him.

I did, but still sucks and I'm pissed.

Bullshit from the PR release:

Quote:
Foyt: "This is going back to the way racing used to be, where if people were in a lot of trouble, you tried to help each other out."

Quote:
MA: "...the thought of A.J. Foyt joining forces with the Andrettis for the Indy 500 could result in something special."

Kevin Lee hearing that Foyt would be running the car. The AA ride sucks, so it's good for RHR. Probably it will keep ABC and adding DHL and other sponsors.

--------------------------

Anyone thinks Pippa Mann's Conquest ride could be on the way to be bought for Conway?

I did, but RHR was not the driver that's on top of my mind.

Kinda saw it coming also, but it still sucks. I understand why the decision was made, but Michael Andretti is still an idiot.
