2011 Indianapolis 500 Welcome to the 2011 Indy 500 race thread. Please forgive me for any glaring errors, and please feel free to post any sort of information my first post is missing. Lets start with the schedule! Saturday May 7 - Allison Transmission Balloon Festival, Emerging Technologies Day Saturday May 14 - Opening Day Rookie and Veteran Practice, 100th Anniversary Indy 500 Celebration of Automobiles, Celebration Awards Dinner Sunday May 15 thru Thursday May 19 - Open Practice Days Friday May 20 - Fast Friday Open Practice Saturday May 21 - Indianapolis 500 Pole Day Qualifying (Tom Carnegie Day) Sunday May 22 - Indianapolis 500 Bump Day, IMS Armed Forces Day Wednesday May 25 - Community Day Thursday May 26 - Indy Lights Qualifying Friday May 27 - Miller Lite Carb Day, Indy Lights Race Firestone Freedom 100 Saturday May 28 - Drivers Meeting, A.J. As many of you know, myself, buster hymen, Joey, and Black_Jack will be attending the race. I have media credentials for the event, and will be shooting from May 20 on. I have to add that I will be enjoying my 23rd birthday while in Indy on the 26th, shooting the Indy Lights! I will be posting here, as well as the others from the trip, along with some awesome updates, and hopefully some sweet photos. Let the 'Most Important Race in History' commence! |

An American driver winning would be good for the sport. Especially an Andretti. Not sure who I personally want to win. Simona, TK, Wheldon, any of the girls or Brits... There's no one in the series that I actually dislike. Very rare! |
