Man, the field is so tight. Pole Day should be fantastic, and it could get exciting from the very start. The chances of rain look to be increasing as the early/mid-afternoon comes along.

A 30% chance of rain is expected tomorrow with a 40% chance on Bump Day, according to weather.com:

Briscoe just ran a couple laps at a hair over 228, and he was definitely all by himself. Helio said his own fast lap was with a tow.

Speed will be committing career suicide if he quits this ride (not that it was that peachy anyway).

Bump day is not too long now!! Best event of this whole racing weekend!!

I HAVE ARRIVED...at my hotel :(

Finally, a day late, I am in Indianapolis. I have yet to see the track, the yard of bricks, the pagoda, or even the 240,000 seats. But I can feel this energy, or excitement. Now, when I say the words, "the speedway," or "Indy 500" I don't get looked at like a retrad.

Ima let you finish in a minute Canada, but the Hoosier state has the most educated race fans ever!!!

Just got out of the track with Joey. Met up with Stroski and his dad at the track and bought a couple of photos at the photo shop.

I'm hearing that Buddy Lazier would be the guy to qualify Simona's car and then hand (pardon the pun) the car over to her.

Fifth Eventually  He's really got the hang of this track. During last years race he was passing lot's of cars, shame he was a couple of laps down after he lost a wing mirror early in the race.

Well, I said something about an announcement, and so I've got a bit of a story to tell.

A few weeks ago, my father was speaking to the head of customer services at the track, and she said that ESPN were looking for fans that have been going for generations. My dad told her to give ESPN his name, but he didn't think he'd get selected.

Well, ESPN called him. And after a few emails, I can confirm that ESPN will be interviewing myself and my father on Saturday in the evening, and they'll be sending a camera to go watch myself (and Joey, if I can get him in the shot) during Qualifications.

If we are selected, our interview will be aired during the broadcast of the race.

And I'll give TBK a shoutout.

And say "Tracy....was...robbed!"

They'll probably edit that out if you do tbf...

Also looking at Simona's crash makes me thankful this Dallara era is soon going to be over, and despite how ugly it may look if they're worked on the new car and keeping it grounded (maybe that's what the wheel guards are for, after all?) then the new car will be a great thing indeed

Yep.

8x10 of Guerrero's 1992 official qualifying shot.
8x12 of an action shot of the 1995 front row. I'll take a pic of it later on.

This is what Chris sent me via text message way earlier in the day:

By the way, if you are participating in the IndyCar Pick-em, remember that the Pole Day picks are due the moment the first car hits the track tomorrow.
