Anyone follow this series ? Unfortunately no TV cameras are covering it but Peter Randlshofer rolled an old Champ Car (2007 car) big time today at Hockenheim. What a day it was. :o

The DP-01's first flip? :8:

Keep an eye out on Youtube then, someone might have caught it with a video camera!

Well looks like the grandstands are empty plus it happened in qualifying so I doubt we are going to see footage of the crash. If it would have happened in the 1st lap of the race, why not... :p

Hi Toto

I also saw this sequence posted at another forum. it's not a Panoz but a WSR Dallara-Nissan:

You can see "World Series" logo on the side, I remember this orange livery from the car launch/photoshoots (original test chassis?)

this series deserves so much more media attention, I've been lucky enough to see a race live at the track back in 2006 and the Ferrari 412 blew my mind (and ears!)

Oh, by the way, this series is actually BOSS GP, not EuroBOSS... BOSS GP started last year as a kind of "breakaway" series from Roger Cowman's EuroBOSS - the 'new' series is run by race co-ordinator Christian Gaense (and maybe drivers like Klass Zwart and Henk de Boer I believe?) . A bit like IRL breaking away from CART! Crazy, but BOSS GP seems to have poached most of the teams/rich gentlemen drivers. Cool to see more of the old GP2 cars out too.

My first contact with that series was last year. During one of formula races in Poznań I met Kuba Śmiechowski who was racing in that series (he is now in ELMS). Really love that idea. I even send mail to organisators and get few stickers :D And I've got an autograph of Ingo Gerstl who is racing in Toro Rosso car

They had a massive crash at Monza at the front of the field. A Minardi won which makes it the first time a Minardi has won an FIA sanctioned event.

It happened on sunday. I watched the live streaming yesterday but there was no camera at Lesmo.

https://youtu.be/1Ra54BCcHWg?t=3h35m34s

You can see couple of damaged cars at Ascari corner (start at 3h35min).

"Seconds later, a mass collision in the first Lesmo corner took Klaas Zwart, Bernd Herndholfer, Peter Milavec and Wolfgang Jordan out of the race. First, Jordan and Milavec crashed – it’s really annoying, a pity for both of us. Peter left a gap and I went for it, but then he closed the door as he hadn’t seen me”, Jordan explained, whose Benetton hammered into the armco barriers at 280 km/h.

Zwart jammed on the brakes immediately, but Herndlhofer could not see the stranded cars ahead and ran into the Dutchman’s Jaguar R5 from behind. Fortunately, Herndlhofer survived one of the heaviest crashes in BOSS GP history nearly unharmed."
