Today's announcement from Barber regarding Saavedra in the #34 puts us to 21 cars in St Pete, with at least one entry for Coyne and Newman Haas very likely.. that will put us to 23. Despite the AFS announcment.. I will believe it when I see it.

Is Saavedra full-time this season or just St. Pete?

Was Paul Tracy hoping for the Conquest seat? He looks dissapointed by something on twitter.

FYI: might want to update first post as there is no televised (or online) practice this year and IndyCar Race Control went bye-bye.

- Practice is not televised. So it won't be online either.
- Qualifying will be shown on Versus (tape delay i think) on weekends that Versus is covering races but still there is no online video stream unless you can find a pirated one. On ABC weekends such as St. Pete there is no televised qualifying which means no streams anywhere.
- Races will be on Versus or ABC this year. Neither have online streams available. Will have to use a pirate one if you don't have access to IndyCar on tv locally.

The GOOD news is that IndyCar is dusting off their equipment to give us any streaming press conferences that happen this year!!!!

It's not IndyCar's fault. NBC-Comcast which owns Versus is not happy with IndyCar.

Randy Bernard: "Comcast/NBC had been kind enough to let us air content on the web during the first two years of our relationship."
Randy Bernard: "I understand their goal here, and it's to drive more people to watch the broadcasts on television--to get the ratings up."

In other words: "they were kind to us before but now because of low ratings, they've decided to not be".

It says they won't be airing raceday coverage as its televised. Where does it say that practice won't be streamed?

^ Indycar doesn't own the rights to stream anything. I guees they thought they did but upon further inspection of their contract when Comcast said "stop doing this", they don't.

from indycar's own site: "Because of network TV rights/contracts, live streaming video of practice (outside of the Indianapolis 500), qualifying and races won’t be available this season."

He's a complete fucking moron if he's managed to sign away the series broadcast rights so much that they can't even stream the series they own.

Honestly it seems like the network is leveraging it's weight more so then anything. If cameras aren't rolling though you can't stream anything.

The channel which broadcasts Indycar in Holland seems to be in problems. They haven't been broadcasting for about 2 weeks now. There website says they will be back soon, but it looks like they have bigger problems.

Always wondered how they where able to afford live DTM, F3 Euroseries and Indycars (with BTCC, Superstars and some other GT series in replay) without almost none commercials. Guess Holland is too small to have a autosport channel :( .

Since yesterday they are broadcasting again... no idea if they will have live-coverage this year, send them an e-mail some months ago but unfortunately no reply from their side...
