85000 people, in that weather, I think I can say we're pretty loyal to our A1GP race.

was it 85.000 :? or is that for the whole weekend? Because on sunday it seemed not as full as the previous years.

Let me see...

For myself I would say there would have been 85k during the weekend in total. It wasn't crowded at all on saturday, friday should have had less visitors too.

none of these tell me something about the weekend or only raceday, when 85000 people showed up.

Dutch-commentator Allard Kalff said that there would be 50.000 people on Sunday, so i guess 85.000 must be for the whole weekend

Quite a bad weather prediction for the weekend. Big chance of rain and very 'high' winds. So bad weather = more crashes = even less cars for China? :(

Most of them go to that race because of Albers. If there was no Dutch driver then probably 20-30 thousand.

Don't think so. Albers wasn't racing in the series for a couple of years, but still it was pretty crowded.

There's no chance in hell this series will see even the half way point. They don't even have the money to ship the cars back to Silverstone, so how they expect to get them to Chine is beyond me and then the institutions in charge are recording massive losses at the same time.

Where does that info come from? In a recent interview Pete Da Silva said A1GP is more healthy than people think. These stupid rumors are around since the first ever race and yet we are in season 4 allready

These are facts straight from the mouths of those deep in A1.

In a public interview, of course they are going to say it's not in any real danger because they need to do that to keep potential sponsors interested and keep optimism throughout the community. But what is really going on is certainly not going to leak to the outside that easily.
