Ricciardo surely is the favourite. Although with his str commitments he might miss a few races, and theirs also the chance he will be in f1 after half way through the season replacing one of the current str drivers. I'd say for him it's just some racing to do in the mean time to keep him sharp.

But yes it does seem this field could be even stronger than GP2 which is great.

Finally, Vergne and Ricciardo head-to-head.

If both STR drivers last through the season, the winner of this battle will get to F1 first.

true, and it will be an interesting battle
Ricciardo has the bennefit of experience, but Vergne is in a better team

I guess. I was certain he was going to do WSR with ISR until I heard that they had confirmed Stoneman in the other seat. Shame for me because I would have liked to see how Rossi went against Ricciardo, but I guess Stoneman fans are happy.
