And why don't the simply use an oval and go clockwise, just for fun?

Mainly for the reason why you don't race clockwise on 99% of the ovals out there, because, when they are designed, the fencing, marshalls posts etc etc are designed on an Anti Clockwise layout, and running backwards would potentially make it unsafe...

And typical, Sato crashed in Practise. Go Takuma!!!

Awesome performance by Sato.. he only had 15mins of practice time before qualifying due to a car failure causing him to crash hard... and he ends up 10th on the grid!

Should be a good race! :)

Other drivers have to practice their hot laps

Takuma has to practice his crashes to get it right for the race!

Hopefully he's worked out where the cameras are so he can get his sponsors maximum publicity by kurrrasshhheeeeeing in front of them tonight.
Well, all the cameras might well be on him anyway if they have local directors.

... Sponsors? Last time I checked, his sponsor was Lotus....

... Be interesting to see how the other two Japanese drivers do, especially if the spotlight is off them a little bit....

Is it a 5AM or 6AM start for the UK, I know Sky Sports has it on Delay, and I'm hoping I get out of work before the Apex Brazil Green Flag tells me to Experience my energy...

CET is the same as BST. However Central Europe is currently on CEST, which is still an hour ahead of Britain

It's currently 23:20 here in Britain and 07:20 in Japan so there's 8 hours difference. Thus there is 7 hours difference between Japan and Central Europe

My cable carrier still doesn't have Versus in HD, so I'm stuck watching the Stanley Cup Finals in horribly low resolution 4:3 aspect ratio standard def, not to mention tonight's race. Sigh.
