Track drawings look like a roller-coaster.

Hope Carchannel will broadcast it, last time they didn't without warning.

Should be a fun weekend.

Healthy grid again. I do not like the Lights grid, though. If IndyCar can have 25 cars on the grid, I would expect, with Atlantics gone, at least 30 cars on Lights. Hopefully that will change in the next few seasons.

Praccy over. Briscoe on top, closely followed by Castroneves. Usual suspects near the top of the field.

Carroll now showing anything special just yet. He finishes the session 23rd, 2.9secs off the leader.

Horrible pace for Baguette so far; he is 4.3secs off the pace, yet still set the same number of laps as the rest of the field. His teammate Romancini is in 15th 1.8secs off the leader, so you would hope that his car had problems somewhere.

Obviously not, they didn't pay the bill I heard. This channel is run by the same people who ran Raceworld tv a few years ago, also a complete failure.

Weird place to crash. Looks like something went wrong way early going into turn 2 and he found the guardrail on the outside. Haven't seen a replay yet.

Fairly sizeable crash there... he ran wide out of turn 2, got some air over the grass coming back on, then went straight on hard into the armco on the inside then bouncing across to the outside.

Viso is fine, but big damage.

Something had to have broke when he went thru the grass. He hit the inside wall first then pounded the outside wall.

Summary and times from practice 2:
Autosport wrote:
Briscoe on top as Viso has big crash
Saturday, July 3rd 2010, 14:09 GMT

Ryan Briscoe was quickest again in Saturday morning IndyCar practice at Watkins Glen. The Australian led his Penske team-mate Will Power, but a late improvement by Ganassi's Scott Dixon denied Penske a top three sweep.

The session was interrupted by a long yellow for a massive crash by KV's EJ Viso, who was fortunate to escape injury. Viso ran wide over the large kerb at the first corner, then speared into the inside wall as he rejoined, having possibly broken his suspension as the car jumped over the strip of grass between the run-off and the track.

After a heavy, near head on, impact, the KV Dallara then rebounded back into the outside wall and had a second hard hit before coming to rest near the exit of Turn 2 with substantial damage to both sides. Thankfully Viso was able to walk away unscathed.

Briscoe, who had been quickest in Friday's session as well, moved to the front shortly before the crash and remained on top thereafter, 0.0162 seconds ahead of Power. Helio Castroneves got the third Penske car up to third in the closing minutes, but was pushed back to fourth by Dixon's late run.

Marco Andretti set the pace for a while and ended up fifth for Andretti Autosport, ahead of Dario Franchitti (Ganassi), Justin Wilson (Dreyer & Reinbold) and Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti). Viso held on to ninth in the results despite his accident, and was just ahead of his team-mate Takuma Sato, who had a quick spin on his last run but had already done enough to earn 10th.
