Why do even the support classes change their technical rulebook? Now the downforce will be increased, but why? What's the use of that in lower classes? The racing will get worse, and what else?

they said they want to get closer to series like WSbR 3.5

I have summarized the first drivers for the Valencia test session: http://racinggeneration.be/wpsite/?p=3, for those who are interested ;)

Probably because they made the car lighter and increased the horsepower, so they want these kids to have some chance to bring them back in one piece occasionally.... :o

In reality, it was probably what they were aiming at for this year but had to stop development at a certain point to make sure the cars were ready for this season. Now they've got them back to their base they can continue working on them.

Sometimes I can't understand this kind of updates, but this one is absolutely justified. It was just laughable that a series called "Formula 2" was so slow, nice to see they're trying to make the cars a little bit quicker.

I agree
but than again it was the series with the most overtaking this year, showing a lot of driverskill, and it would be bad if that changed

Well, what have they done with GP2? Those cars were fast enough. But no, to have "more similarities" with the current F1 cars (which become SLOWER!?), they build a new car which is in fact upgraded (more BHP, more downforce).
