that's it, the only race. Either way, this series is doomed. 0.35 ratings, bad races, terrible tracks, an awful car. Just let it die and see what happens in one or two years.

I'll quote something I posted on a similar subject elsewhere:

Quote:
I like the nice mix of tracks that we have right now. Providing there is a close mix of Oval's & Road/Street Im happy. At present its 9 Road/Street & 8 Oval's in 2010, if Milwaukee is able to find the funding it will be a nice 9/9 Mix.

Personally I like all the types of circuit they race on.

I love the challenge that the road/street circuits provide & thats also the type of racing I grew up with living in the UK watching the European categories.

However I also love the speed & close competition that Oval racing provides, its what drew me to CART back in the early 90's & part of what made me fall in love with Indy after watching the 1992 race as a 7 year old kid.

The reason I loved CART back in the 90's was because of the great mix of tracks much like what we have today, I started to lose some intrest in CART & then Champcar when they moved away from Oval's. If the IRL are to drop some oval's I hope they replace them with more oval's or at least try to keep the mix as close as possible.

I don't particularly care for street tracks, but some of them are cool. So here we go...

Road Course
Laguna Seca
Road Atlanta
Watkins Glen
Virginia International Raceway
Mid-Ohio
Road America
Portland
Mosport
Mont-Tremblant

Temporary Circuits
Long Beach
Surfers Paradise
Cleveland

Ovals
Indianapolis (500 Miles)
Michigan (500 Miles)
Texas (Night)
Milwaukee (Night)
New Hampshire
Phoenix
Homestead
Kentucky (Night)
Pocono (500 Miles)

21 Races...

Fontana is a piece of crap no matter what races on it so it doesn't make the cut. Three 500 mile races on three different track configurations. Anyone who wins all three in the same year gets a $1,000,000 bonus.

Why only a million?

Promote the Indy, Michigan, Pocono triple crown as 10 million to win Indy, 5 million to win the other two, and if you can win 2 of the three, you get another 3 million, another 7 million if you win all three of them.

Superspeedways of Fontana and Michigan are must, then 1 milers of Milwaukee and Loudon and that should pretty much conclude the ovals for me, anything shorter than 1 mile isn't suitable, and 1.5 just doesn't make sense, although the Lausitzring might be a cool choice for an European race.

For roadies and streets I very much believe that CART and CCWS had run on most of the greatest ones in US except for Watkins Glen so there you go.

Maybe replace Milwaukee with Virgina.

You would be crucified in the States if you were the head of IRL.

I didn't say they were reasonable, they'd crucify you for not having enough ovals.

I, personally, love that list though. I would replace Monza with Lausitz, though.
