I guess you can delete this post now. :p

Lets hope this series survives, the racing has been incredible. They should go back to basics, and don't go to places like Brazil or China.

I had ignored this series from it's inception until about half an hour ago when I watched a YouTube video of the Race 1 finish and then picked up the replay stream on their site.
Looks like I've been missing out.

Season 1 wasn't great (bad TV coverage + almost no passing) but from season 2 onwards this series is awesome with some good produced TV coverage. Just watched the Assen races and that were the best races I've seen all year. So close, and everybody apart from De Villota was competitive. If only some teams in other open wheel series (like F3, AutoGP, World Series) would join this series. This is the best open wheel series you can be in if your not in F1 or Indycar. The race format is pretty sweet now, especially with all 3 races straight after each other, much better for TV audiences.

Ditch the final few football club sponsors and we have a new A1GP.

Just read that the FIA has reprimanded the series because of the 'World Cup' in its name (can't remember where i saw it, and i'm currently on my phone so can't look for it either)

For me A1GP was my favorite series with great racing and great cars, plus I loved the Nations Cup concept (for as much as people here seem to not like it) however it looks like it ended up poorly managed.

Hopefully this is just a transition year and they go into a World Cup in 2012 as was A1 and under that same concept, but obviously a real one (right now, 4 drivers don't match the nations and one is repeated so in reality there are just 9 nations).

They need to get 20 nations with good drivers (I quite like the current lineup) and get a Räikkonen or Massa plus good tracks and top racing nations (Germany, Italy Finland, maybe USA) plus other racing countries as México (with Durán), Japan, Canada (Hinchcliffe or Villeneuve)...and hopefully other countries that can bring great drivers like Ireland with Carroll...

Let's see, if it ends up the way I put above it will be so awesome, if it folds this year or has less cars and goes on like this with joke Dolby/Japan or Soucek/Turkey combinations it will just die.

16 cars instead of 14 at Zolder  Good news, and it's still a week away so we could see more cars entering.

Thx. Just had to fill in a poll on a dutch website f1today.nl. And won. Wasn't normally planning on going but with this arrangement I couldn't pass the opportunity.
