I agree with Gaara. If there s a series that can die, it'll be A1GP. Still, it is known that job cutting is happening in Tony George's Vision Racing, Indy Racing League and Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Well at the end of the day, the Champ Car owners just didn't want to keep paying to keep the series going. In the current economic climate they would definitely have given up.

A1 has been rubbish this season. Old car maybe. The new one....noo.

Based on 3 race weekends - several teams missing at Zandvort, Chengdu is never going to produce good racing for any series ever, Sepang had some decent racing in it. I'd wait for the entire season before judging the new car.

Sportscars should be OK as long as privateers can afford to compete. However, the LMS has already proven privateers are struggling too

IRL will die. If they didn't merge, CCWS would have died shortly before IRL.

What?? Already it has put on a hell of a good show with endless battles and close racing.

Not from what i have been watching. I'll accept gd49's point to wait the whole season but A1 has been pretty poor viewing imo.

Valencia probably put him in a coma

I personally thought Chengdu wasn't that bad a race.

Chengdu was poor. If it was an F1 Race people would be calling it shit.
Sepang compared to previous years wasn't that interesting at all. Ireland and Portugal were dominant. Thats about all i remember of the event apart from Andretti ripping off Narain's? rear wing.

Compared to 06/07 and 07/08 it hasn't been as "thrilling". Admittedly there are quite a few races left.

And no i dont fall asleep watching F1. I have always found F1 more appealing than A1 apart from the extremes just a personal thing. *shrug* I personally havent found it good. Same way V8's/IRL/WTCC are all dead boring to be also.

Funny thing is, if Cengdu was an F1 race it would be scoring 8+ because of all the battles and close racing. But it seems it's just a problem with you and not the series itself.

Ya but I haven't seen any of the races this year so I can't say anything. Grand-Am is pretty good though whatever year it is.

GRAND-AM

If Grand-Am ran Le Mans, it would end in a last lap pass.

If Grand-Am ran at Le Mans. It would be just another typical Grand-Am race. No one watching and no one attending.

If Grand Am ran at Le Mans, the lap times would be several hours. A Daytona Prototype is slower than the GT2 class, sometimes slower than GT3, which is why the Grand Am Cup Class is constantly being restricted. Don't want them challenging the DP class.

Grand Am produces great racing, but there isn't much appeal to even some hardcore motorsport fans.

its always a good sign when people show up for an IRL race but think the IPS race is the main event and decide to leave right after it ends
