Formula Nippon is too japanese LOL. :D No, seriously now, I didn't like the new cars and the front wing doesnt make any sense to me, to the performance point view.

I personally like the new cars. Interesting looking front wing, and a cool concept on the roll hoop.

Actually the new cars will have better performance than the old ones, unfortunatelly the tests were hit by rain and snow in almost everyday, so they had only a few chances to develop the setup and run faster laps, anyway they beat the Formula Nippon record at Fuji with a 1.23 time

That front wing must reduce the drag caused by the wheels substantially i would say, my god would I love to see the CFD work of that car.

I thought that both Kunimoto and Oshima would try a career in Europe after their superb performances in F3, specially in Macau.

Oshima did F3 Euroseries last year and was kind of a failure.

Unfortunatelly the world crisis hit Japan badly, and Formula Nippon is suffering with this problems, the grid for 2009 season will have only those 13 drivers that are in the results of the tests. :(

I still can't get over how that wing ruins the car. I even like the new F1 cars better (the Brawn particularly is 500 times better looking than that monster).

Those lights are signs of how much times the drivers used the "power boost" or "push to pass" any name can be used, they are introducing this system this season, the driver have the right to use it 5 times during the race, and every time he uses one of his boosts one of the lights turn off, so we can know how much times they have yet just looking at the car :)

A very good idea there. Making it visual for the paying spectators and TV viewers alike.

Great idea, and the cars look really nice!!!

great looking cars! The only thing I find ugly is the roll bar. But perhaps the idea behind it with the lights will work and be an interesting fact during the races.

Beautiful car! Reminds me of the good old Champcar Reynards that everyone keeps crying after :)

I wish we could get some coverage in Northern Europe......

Those links aren't working - it looks like copying and pasting has missed out whatever goes where the "..." is :(

Edit: but I found the original post you referred to.
