What are you going to do? Fit as many decimal places as you can on the car?

According to Curt Cavin, Penske could have a three car team next year. With Power ofcourse. Now that's awesome if true.

Last time Penske ran three cars during a whole season was 1994, indeed the best year ever for them.

I would like to see a revival of that year with Castroneves, Briscoe and Power.

So is the IRL claiming that CART races were in fact IRL races now?

lol

I don't think so. It is just that Champcar is dead so they can't post old races on their website, so IRL does the favor and post them on their site. But let's concentrate on the fact that it wasn't a IRL sanctioned race and blame the IRL for corrupting history instead. :)

Better that way than they hide all mention of CART races whatsoever.

(Though I believe back then CART was still carring the Indycar name anyway so it might actually be accurate. It was only after the 1997 season that Tony went to court to try to get ahold of the name and they put a block on either series using it for 5 years or something like that. )

Also: Holy Crap the commentator was all shades of bad. Thinks two cars spinning=several. One lap of yellow before debris brings out the yellow AND thinks wing on wheel contact is the car in front locking up his tyre while braking causing the beloved Micheal to run into him.

Sheesh clueless or what...

How can you be a CART fan and not recognise Paul Page?

I didn't say I didn't recognise him, just that he did a bad job on about three things there.

Can I be a CART fan and say I've never rated him either?

Mind you CART never really had a truely decent commentator on the domestic feed imo.
But then I was spoiled with Ben Edwards so everyone else is going to pail in comparision.

The best thing I can think to put in a response to this is a kinda shrug? So?

1) More often than not, Paul Page was an idiot. But every now and again, he was worth having in the booth.

2) In 1998 CART had Bob Varsha and Danny Sullivan in the booth. Sullivan was blah but Varsha was, and still is, excellent.

3) Arguably, the best commentary crew CART ever had was Paul Page, Bobby Unser and Sam Posey in the booth with Arute and Gerald in the pits. Page, Unser and Posey were great because Page and Posey constantly made mistakes that Unser kept correcting. He more or less made fun of them on air.

To be fair, the current trio of Buhl, Jenkins and Beehuis aren't bad.

*Spelling of names is probably wrong*

Some of the posts above are    arguing of the most trival and stupid things, but that seems to be the general trend of this thread

Just wait for it. In the very near future those types of post will be replaced by the happiness of Vision Racing going tits up and Tony George finally being completely out of Open Wheel. To bad there is nothing left to rebuild....
