Why Germany is not here?

Quite curious, for one of the stronger teams.

Wili Weber threw a hissy fit claiming they didn't get their money and quit.

They wasn't planning to join in first, but they got a new seatholder so they will join (lucky).

Shame they are not racing at Beijing or Shanghai. But at least it could help them to raise awareness and publicity for the earthquake victims though.

So GBR, India, & Mexico will join in for Round 2, while Pakistan and Germany will join later on. So the only team lost from last season is Canada?

It's a Mickey Mouse circuit, so this will be a good test of the new A1 car to see if it can produce good racing.

Most of the top teams being back is good, I might actually watch the race this time.

Looking forward to this one, first race with almost the whole grid. Track doesn't look to good, hope A1 can solve this problem!

Damn, almost forgot, Doornbos will drive for team NED, go Roberto!!

what's a mickey mouse circuit?

Just watched the video, fantastic track. This will be awesome, the first weekend was already nice, A1GP is becoming one of the best categories.

what's a mickey mouse circuit?

A track with a twisty and slow layout

EDIT: and most of the time boring, that's why it is sarcastically called like that

It didn't seem slow to me, a couple of slow corners of course, but much better than most of the current F1 circuits imo.

Well I still need to see an onboard with a better angle. ;)

The track looks a bit dull for me. But there are still some overtaking spots.

Earl Bamber made an impressive debut for NZL. Now it's time to see if van der Drift can do something like that. And another interesting debut is Marco Andretti for USA.

Most teams now ready for the race. Looks promising.

It looks like this will be shown on interactive in the UK. Sky's EPG shows this starting at 0530 and then tennis at 0600.
