Quite surprised that Lawson couldn't get to the side of the track. It's like he pulled so far over but then stopped.

According to the race stewards this is fine and not deserving of a penalty....

Gotta feel for Lawson on that one, 2 brilliant moves around the outside of chicanes, then a SC means he gets stuck in the pits behind drivers behind coming into their pit and lost 2 spots, then the extinguisher going off removes him from the race

The fact the driver I pull for has a problem that leads to the win almost being handed to the shitheel of the formula undeserved proves there's no justice in the world.
But a SC instead of a VSC for Lawson's car and no penalty for Ticktum gaining an advantage at the 2nd chicane.....what's going on here?

Thank god for the final SC so at least there wasn't a sour taste on the....Rostrum?

Did i hear right btw when Alex explained that they're not allowed to call the podium for the F2 and F3 races the podium, F1 has decreed it can only be called the podium for F1 and it has to be the "rostrum" for the other series?
Please tell me I misunderstood a joke on that one cos that seems stupid, it's the exact damn same podium

TBH I'll always cheer for anyone who gets fresh tyres towards the end of the race because you know there'll be overtaking

Except Dan though obv :p

Ticktum was punted from behind when he cut the chicane so I think in this case he has a fair defence for what he did

Did Ticktum ever get punished for filming himself driving from the paddock to the pits in Monaco?

The rule is you have to go around the bollard no matter what, not floor it through the run off and gain places as a result

Otherwise we've just found a loophole to the FIA safe rejoin rules, light contact on the entry of corners means you have no obligation to brake and go around the bollard and can effectively shortcut the chicane and gain a lasting advantage

You're kidding right? Yes he got punted from behind and was fully within his right to cut through the chicane. But there's absolutely no defense for absolutely flooring it back onto the track, without even bothering to check his mirrors. If there had cars coming by on the racing line, possibly even 2 wide coming out of the chicane, Ticktum would've torpedoed into them and caused a monumental crash. He was clearly charged up wanting to go for the win, and then probably pissed off at being hit in the back, but there's no excuse for that reckless rejoin. And it's not like he even tried to keep it to the inside. He floored it on the runoff and went straight for the racing line into Lesmo 1.

What the fuck are they waiting? It is going to rain all day. And it's just a small drizzle.

Either go race or go home.
