Doohan locks up like a mother fucker trying to take the lead

Daruvala spins again, of course

The mechanic just completely forgot he had to bolt the wheel back

Put it on, and raised his hand before even taking the gun at all

Wait, isn't this some sort of 200IQ move from the guys upfront? They literally eliminated a couple virtual leaders

In seriousness though I think Doohan anticipated and caused it when he had to brake. Top 5 seemed constant speed

I never liked the "leader decides when to go" restart method. This doesn't happen in Indycar where everybody goes on the green flag.

Exactly. They could leave some tactic to it but at worst, you should be full speed exiting the final turn. On the straight, everyone should be foot to the floor, it's ridiculous and dangerous to have the guys 10 places back start guessing.

A dull race after the 2nd SC

But those in the back who decided to go before the leader did really ruined the race for the hard-soft runners as there just wasn't enough time left for them to burn back through the field (and make it more interesting for us too)
Porchaire had just caught back up to the pack and passed Daruvala for the final point when the Chequered flag flew

Alex Brundle mentioned about 20 times how the FIA should be investigating Lawson for accelerating and braking and wouldn't let it go, but he didn't do anything against the rules
Blame the rules, not the driver, Alex.
