Can we start a notion that Turn 3 is waaaay too dangerous for open wheel racing here to get this track stricken from the calender on safety grounds?

Gotta try something :whistling:

Just get rid of the place due to the piss poor design of the entire thing. Russia's got plenty of nuclear weapons.

I hope he can get back behind the wheel in some capacity but it's looking unlikely now, isn't it?

The average democracy index of the calendar is 2.55+8.12+2.75+8.52+7.52+3.11+1.93+2.76/8 = 4.66 out of 10. Well done FIA.

the only reasonable explanation for that is making F2 the main event, as their races are often better than F1 in those mickey mouse tracks

or perhaps they just charged more to those ones to include on the package the feeder series

I thought individual grand prix hosts pick and choose what support events they want? Not the FIA's fault if France, Belgium, Holland don't want F2?

It's definitely a money thing

Tier 1: We'll just come with F1. You find the support packages but we'll still charge them for the honour of racing on a Grand Prix weekend

Tier 2: We'll come with one of our Support series

Tier 3: We'll come with F1, F2, F3 and Porsches, the full arab Package basically

Special dispensation for events like Melbourne but if you want to run another championship series there, we'll charge you through the nose for it.

Alesi's performance before the engine spontaneously combusted suggests that the problem at HWA is the car and not the driver.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Honestly yeah, there is a problem in that team when you consider how badly even Markelov is doing there.

Let's see whether Mick will survive the first lap. 10th place is not an ideal starting position.
