That would've been a lot worse without the Tecpro barrier but jfc that was poor driving

Also thank god Ghiotto got out unaided with that fire and the barriers wrapped around the car

That looked like Aitken's fault

Ghiotto's car is absolutely destroyed. Can't believe that he just hopped out

Ghiotto's impact moved the concrete wall behind the Tecpro. Jeez

That was massive. Glad to see both drivers walk away.

I haven't seen a single seater burnt out like that for a long time.

On seeing the replays, looks like Aitken loses car control for a moment, just enough to punt Ghiotto into the barrier.
Still his fault, but it looked way more a bone-headed move from live pictures.

But at least we got the chance to hear another Ticktum radio conference, this time about the risks of modern motor racing. :D

Atkin had a puncture apparently, hence why he went straight on

The Mick is going to F1 for sure now.

Will end up being the next Heidfeld.

Don't think so. He'll probably be getting a Ferrari drive as soon as he can put half-decent laptimes in an Alfa Romeo or whatever team he gets loaned to.

All parties are very fortunate that Ghiotto's car did not turn over and land upside down.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Not just the halo, but I think we have to really commend how far chassis and circuit safety have come. That crash pre mid-90s would've had horrible consequences given the speed and angle of attack...
