Autosport magazine is this week reporting that if Lippo Valley isn't ready, Sentul will take over, but the roads for the track are already there anyway so it's unlikely it won't be ready

Would be great if Sentul came back, it's an awesome track. Hope they've looked at their safety features recently though.

I was watching old race and...

Why does the engines sound so... non-racy? Especially as an engines with Ferrari badges. Silencers? Tried googling, didn't manage to find proper specs, not even from the official website. Found some story about it being a production based engine... is it upsized (from 4.0->4.5L) from the Ferrari F430 GT2 car? Sounds pretty similar actually.

Too bad. Those old Zyteks sounded awesome.

The old Zyteks had a special exhaust just to produce a nice sound.

Put it on again then...
I had that same feeling when I was at Zandvoort. The previous 2 editions, I was kinda 'deaf' when they accellerated. Now, it was 'nothing more' than a hard sound.

RTLGP.nl has a news item that A1GP is going to Brazil this season  I haven't seen it anywhere else so far but they are usually correct. On may 17 the season finale will be held on the Interlagos circuit in Sau Paulo 8)

another great addition to the calendar, let's see if they can put on an even more exciting finale than F1 did.

Oh, wow! Awesome. And it'd be closer in the year to some of the more recent Round 3 races at Interlagos in F1.

Isn't that the monsoon season, there in Brazil? That's why it was put on the end of the year on the F1 calendar, right?

I'd love to see them race there!
Unfortunately, Brands isn't the season ender now.

It was put in the end of the calendar to introduce the Bahrain GP in that part of the calendar, in 2004.

I think Interlagos would be a great place for A1GP to go to, but I think if they do run there it wont be at the end of the season. On the A1GP.com calendar it shows an open spot for March 29th between Mexico City and Algarve that says "To Be Announced."

rtlgp.nl reported it yesterday as a done deal, but I can't find the news on any other website. So now I don't know if it is certain, but they were the first to report that Ferrari was going to make the new cars last year so they usually are correct with their A1GP news.

A1GP.com has posted an article on the new Algarve circuit. It seems like a pretty cool track to me.

Apparently it's all but a done deal for Earl Bamber to join the Mercedes young drivers programme which means we probably won't see him in a A1 car again

oh that's pretty cool, I know Earl was offered the Taupo drive but he'll be testing a Mercedes DTM car around the time, he's already tested one but wrote it off after a tyre failure  . Jonny Reid's going to be racing in the Porsche GT3 cup at the Taupo round in a couple of endurance races they are having  but rumor has it that he 'might' get the A1 drive.

I hope he doesn't go waste his talents in the DTM. Pretty much a dead end
