Jolyon Palmer, 21st in last year's championship, wins race 1 of 2010. Says it all really.

Still, good performance by him to beat the small handful of decent/semi-decent drivers in the field (though of those only Eng, Vasiliauskas and De Marco have prior F2 experience).

Race 1:
1. Palmer
2. Stoneman
3. Afanasiev
4. Eng
5. Vasiliauskas
6. Bratt
7. Marinescu
8. Ebrahim
9. De Marco
10. Lariche

why did F2 restrict the stream to certain countries? :(

I always enjoyed watching it on the official stream

I find Palmer his results "remarkable", he was way behind Eng and co last year, but now he is able to beat them without too many problems

they have the same kind of experience

it's nasty to think, but what if his dad his involvement on the series has something to do with it?

Looks like Eurosport are only going to bother showing Race 1 :(

*Edit* Tuesday evening for race 2....G-R-A-T-E

Based on race one, so not worth it :(

Palmer is nothing but a mediocre driver and he achieved little in his years of FPA prior to F2. So his sudden success is rather puzzling. There are some drivers in the field with far greater talent and maybe they will come on stronger later in the season as they get used to the car.

gotta love how the same commentators, who witnessed the F2 races at Silverstone, moan about the lack of passing in F1, especially this season.
