Yes, but I'm almost sure this occurence is already considered a possibility (if remote) in the contract when you go on and sign an official reserve driver.

Yeah that's stupid, if he'd pitted for his softs and another SC comes out, he's won the race, he had a free pitstop

If It didn't, he'd probably get 5th or something when his tyres went off

Now he's just ensured he has to pit alone with the field bunched up and isn't gonna make a top 10, even if the SC comes out again, there's not enough field spread for a free pit stop like before

Fucked it up, commentators don't seem to grasp this either
