Shit coverage.

Awesome result for Josef Newgarden

What an emotional moment with Helio cheering on the Dan Wheldon Way.

The new car looks great in TV, if you ask me, much better than I would have thought.

Race coverage was a disaster. Several things were going on those final laps that were never shown or mentioned.

Well, they got rid of their previous people who were longstanding incompetent team-members they were too loyal to fire previously (Barnard, George, etc)
It turns out the TV director is the most incompetent of all, can they do anything about that?

Long Beach is much harder track to pass on than St Pete too, so it doesn't bode well on that front.

It might just be the ABC team.

Hopefully NBC do a better job.

Barber's first up, then Long Beach.

Both are on NBC Sports Network, so chances are it may be better than ABC.

Still, when it comes to the car I'm very disappointed.

Instead of being the great new revolution its just more of the goddam same.

There's no power in the car, not one car oversteered out of the final corner, so once again we have a car with too much downforce and not enough horsepower....why does Indycar think this is an exciting racing formula? :yuk:

TV direction is shoddy, no question, but you couldn't have exactly made Spa 98 out of that race, could you?

The next races are going to be more of the same, I realise they're still working on the thing but, damn, its not a good baseline to be working from imo.

Of course not, but we were told nothing of Sato, Bourdais, Franchitti having problems. TV direction in general was terrible. Made a race that was probably 6.5/10 into about a 3.

Definitely saw some sliding yesterday in qualifying...

Well i enjoyed the race, maybe not so much passing (there was some, but most of it were missed by cameras... as always!) but some interesting tactical battle, and not the most predictble winner ... which is always good.

And i really like how the car looks, after F1 DW12 is a pleasure to my eyes

Anyone got a link to a copy of the pre-race Dan Wheldon tribute segment?

Not only was the tv director incompetent but its safe to say the bastard probably came from my local abc station as they cut away as helio was climbing the dan wheldon way fence and went to this week with george "steppingonus". No post race show or interviews for me in augusta georgia. i wrote a sarcatic unhappy comment on their facebook page.

Decent race, but please.

NO. MORE. ABC.

Those Lotus are Terrible, Bourdais, Tagliani, Servia and Simona will pass a very long year... :(

Very good for both Castroneves and Dixon. Pagenaud too, Bricoe and Sato was strong, but they're fucked.

And i find this DW12 more pretty than F1 duckfaces.

There was a telling difference between Chevy and Honda though, Dixon was no match for Helio after he passed him on the outside. If Chevy keeps up this performance, Dario will have a LOT of trouble with another title. Of course Honda could dominate on the ovals, can't tell about that now.

Yeah, Lotus is facing a very long year. It would be a double bogey if they were also the most unreliable unit to go along with the HP handicap. Tagliani and Bourdais were doing wonders out there while Servia and Simona are capable of much more as well. Legge could struggle big time after so many years out of OW. She couldn't even match Ed and I don't think it's a one-off.

ABC is the best partner they have in the States, no more ABC means more Versus or whatever they call themselves now.

And Lotus is a waste, I hope Chrysler ends up coming in and leaves Lotus a good excuse to exit.

Honestly, Ford should enter. Would be good marketing for the EcoBoost brand...

Ford, Toyota, Chrysler, Audi. I really don't care, the series needs more comptetitive manufacturers.
